Newer version of Gaim

Puppy has Gaim 1.0.2,current version is 1.3.0 I guess is possible to update Gaim in future versions of Puppy or perhaps add some plugins to existing 1.02 I thinkg some are very usefull for 'hard' chatters like me

what improvements are in the latest version of Gaim?
I'm using 1.0.2 and it does everything pretty well.

If you have something good why want more unless the newer gaim jumps and does flips
