First, a huge thanks to forum member russoodle for making this hosting space available to me I have uploaded an sfs and .pet for the latest LibreOffice and OpenOffice, and java.sfs I have tested them successfully with 4.3*, Lucid, Quirky 1.2/1.3, Squeeze (dpup), Wary (but only with the '30 kernel. It DOES NOT WORK with wary '35 and '34 kernel. They will set menu entries in the Business section, but do not change your settings for default spreadsheet and wordprocessor. For that, just download and install the libredefaults.pet/OOdefaults.pet The database component cannot be used without Java being installed, and on first run, Libre Office/OpenOffice will nag you about installing Java. Just 'ok' through the nag boxes and it will load anyway. At next run, the nag boxes will not appear and all components will work except the database. There is also an OpenOffice Lite version which only includes spreadsheet, word-processor, and presentation. Amazingly, it works... Yes, it would have been better to name the files accordingly. Java is the latest, jre-1.6.0.20 I will see that I do that in future thanks. _________________ Spup Frugal HD and USB Root forever! |
