DOTPUP ispell - Spell checker

International Ispell version 3.2.06 08/01/01
http://www.gnu.org/software/ispell/ispell.html

Interactive screen oriented spell checker with american dictionary.
Packaged by Bruce B for Puppy Linux - June 6, 2005

To use as an interactive spell checker:

Open rxvt and type ispell on the command line. Then type in the word you
want to spell check. Ispell will give you suggestions.

To use for spell checking text files:

On the command line type ispell filename.txt, (or wildcards or multiple files) to enter interactive mode.

Whenever a word is found that is not in the dictionary, it is printed on the first line of the screen. If the dictionary contains any similar words, they are listed with a number next to each one. You have the option of replacing the word completely, or choosing one of the suggested words.

To uninstall:

1. delete /root/my-roxapps/ispell directory
2. delete /usr/local/bin/ispell
3. delete /usr/lib/ispell/*.hash
4. delete /usr/lib/ispell directory

it doesn't matter much where you put it on the forum

it should probably be listed on the wiki page (which is linked to in the Puppy menu) ... and you can put a link to the forum on the wiki page

i can add your id to the list of people who can edit the wiki page so you can add any pups you make to the list

Barry setup a way to register your packages with PupGet
i haven't needed to do that yet
i have a ruby and a perl package that i should probably register a symlink for, because perl and ruby scripts usually specify that they run with something like #!/usr/bin/ruby

That would be good.

Also, thanks for the template. DOTPUP is a brilliantly conceived idea.

http://www.goosee.com/puppy/wikka/UsersList

i can add anyone's id to the dotpup contributer's wiki page's acl so they can edit the wiki page

or i can transfer ownership of the page to someone if they want it
