Maybe 'pcb':
http://pcb.gpleda.org/index.html

Makes about a 6MB package here, using src2pkg without any special options.

Hi,
excuse me, but in the link i can't see any BINARIES for linux.
They are a link for sourgeforge, but contain only WIN exe :(
and SOURCE for linux.
I'm not able to compile the source..

Thanks

Roberto

P.s. can you post the link for download the binaries precompiled?

I suggest using src2pkg. If you can get your devx setup working, src2pkg will package nearly anything for you without knowing anything about compiling -best way to get exactly what you want.

ExpressPCB works well under wine.

It only lets you order boards from them but you can't beat their price for the software (free) and the PCBs aren't too costly.

Would Xcircuit, QElectrotech or Java based Electric be suitable?

Xcircuit it's good for schematic, but don't have pcb libraries and drawing mode(so you can draw the electric scheme, but can't not engeneering the printed circuit board).
The 2 others suggestion it's not a good choice : the first it's a schematic for electrotecnic drawing (no electronic) , the second require use of java (many Mb of size and memory use).

This is the best choice : http://pcb.gpleda.org/index.html

UNFORTUNLY NO PACKAGE WITH DEPENDENCIES EXIST!!! :(
If someone want to try to prepare a complete .pet package...

Thanks
