DVD + CD read write

What works, and doesn't, for you. Be specific, and please include Puppy version.

DVD + CD read write

Hello K9 Friends,

I have just bought a BenQ DW1650 DVD +CD read write unit came with software for MS$ XP and Nero software. this OK for XP but i want to use this with Puppy Linux, has any one tried this unit. it is also sold under the Philips label. The BenQ site does not offer Linux support for this, but does for other of its products.

If this is an internal (EIDE) unit it should work in Linux, no special software needed.
