This Mac devotee is moving to Linux

...Linux comes in all kinds of flavors. For now, I've settled on Ubuntu as the OS most likely to be in my own future. The Ubuntu project, founded by Mark Shuttleworth, appeals to me for many reasons, not least the project team's devotion to making the software easy to use....
I guess he doesn't know about Puppy.

I don't know about Mac :)

Do they have same permissions and multi user thing in Mac as they have in Ubuntu?

I have only used Mac at the University Library which got them for free as a gesture from Apple. I hated using them. Everything was different about them- Keyboard and so on.
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

Puppy for PPC

#5 Post by russoodle »

@ infromthepound: PowerPup started a thread here about developing a Puppy to run on PPC.. (Quirky runs well on a C2D Intel Mac, although i know that's of no help to you).
