I wonder if tere is a way to make Gourmet run on puppy without the need to install all GNOME dependencies?
IMHO Gourmet is much better than Krecipes, maily because it automatically adjusts the amount of needed ingredients / shopping list if you want to cook larger or smaller amounts.
The only problem (besides only working in Ubuntu and Windows) is that Gourmet becomes big and slow if too many recipes are loaded. A more portable and fast OS to run Gourmet from would be handy.
There is no Puppy native recipe program which can read mastercook xml files (AFAIK).
Gourmet (recipe software) possible for puppy?
Re: Gourmet
I presume you mean http://grecipe-manager.sourceforge.net/?
Linux install instructions are here: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/g ... stallation, the problem is the language.
Python is not included in Puppy, since it's so slow. It would be necessary to install Python, PyGTK, and maybe the extras.
