Subject description: homebank-4.2.1.tar.gz		  
Hi,
I am an ancient newbie, having upgraded from 4.3.1 to 5.0.1. Laughing
my problem is I don't know how to extract and open the above package Question
greatfull for any assistance!!!

Go to the directory that contains the *tar file and then right click and open up terminal.

Then type in

tar homebank-4.2.1.tar.gz

this should open up the files for you.
