PureFTPd change directory

#1 Post by JoeShmoe000 »

I am a noob to puppy linux as well as FTP servers. Been working with windows a lot.

Anyway, I want to create an FTP server in puppy linux. It was very easy to get PureFTPd started (just selected from menu). The problem is that I can not find any help configuring this server. I can't find a .conf file for it and when I use google I only find people that are trying to configure users, passwords, etc.

So here are my questions:

How can I change the shared directory from "/root/ftpd" to another location?

What command would I add to make it start on boot?

What ports do I need to forward to access the server on the internet?

http://www.pureftpd.org/project/pure-ftpd/doc

and you may need to recompile it if it is not already compiled with the
options you want
