usb problem with pmount

#1 Post by Tedwood »

Like it says

If I boot lucid puppy 5 with anything in usb - camera or flash drive etc, pmount goes into an endless cycle of probing. Yeah it does same if I plug usb device in after booting as well.

It does find the device immediately, and you can even look at your files, but Pmount won't stop cycling in an endless loop

I can't stop it, if I kill it it exits X.

All I can do is disable usb in the bios and I have no usb.

system specs:

k9neo v3 mobo
AMD x2 5600
Nvidia 7500 gt graphics - using the downloaded nvidia driver
2 gigs of patriot ram

M-audio PCI audio card

I'm not Linux head so please explain in idiot terms - if you have a clue that is.

thanks in advance.

BTW I love Lucid

To get some attention to your problem I'd recommend posting in the bug thread here.....
