Very good thread thanks for taking the initiative to providing it.

I use Spotify but one need to go into wine set up and then graphics and un tick two ticked boxes there or else it crash. I think it worked for both old and new Spotity program. I have not tested the payed one though.
I use Google Search on Puppy Forum
not an ideal solution though

I am still using an older wine, wine-1.1.41-i486-sfs4.sfs, because Acrobat 4 doesn't run in newer ones. (this ancient Acrobat, with Quite Imposing, is small, does what I need, and I own it.)

I have also used for years DeepBurner (the best), my old Address Book and Calendar (I hate converting these things), SyncBack, Ocr-Sprint, Porta, and RootsMagic.

I install all these outside the pupsave file in a frugal puppy based on QuirkyNop 1.2.

I didn't always make a note but this is a partial list of what I found works with Wine 1.1.33 in Wary 500:

Complete New World Dictionary (for Win95, 600MB)
Aspire
Get Right (for Win95, even puts icon in Linux tray!)
Savings Bond Wizard
WinRar
WinZip
WhereIsIP
FLV Player
Complex (reader for Oxford ebooks, Dictionary, Bible, etc)
PhotoStudio
AlleyCode
7-zip
Adobe Digital Editions
Irfanview
Fresh Diagnose
Examine32
Bible Plus (for Win98)
Solitaire (from Win98)
Notepad
Wordpad (Write.exe from Win98)
Calculator (from Win98)
Char Map
Thunderbird
Opera
Office 2000 Premium (Word, Excel, etc)

Almost all of these run merely by clicking on the link in Windows without an actual installation by Wine.

Puppy (Feb. 4 - May 12, 2011) led me back to Linux.

i didnt have a list, but warcraft 3 works on wine 1.2.2 (green_dome) on lupu520. Use winetricks for d3dx9 after installing cabextract.pet (google) to install directx.
On console, type
winetricks d3dx9
and installation starts

DBDesigner4

Runs perfectly in Lucid Puppy 5.11 using green_dome's wine 1.2.2 pet. Much better than the outdated Linux version.

Also installed:
Graphics driver from Quickpet
cabextract-1.2 (.pet)
SDL-1.2.13 (.pet)
MDAC installed with winetricks
