Puppy kernel panic

Booting off cd it gives me

performing a switch root to the layered filesystem kernel panic not syncin,g attempted to kill init.

Another wasted cd?

Can your burning software confirm that the CD matches the ISO? (under Windows, I use Imgburn, which does this automagically)

One cd-rw is worth a thousand cd-r.

Inspiron 700m, Pent.M 1.6Ghz, 1Gb ram.
Msi Wind U100, N270 1.6>2.0Ghz, 1.5Gb ram.
