FrostWire Gnutella P2P application

#1 Post by 1ColdBeer »

Hi,
I found a thread about FrostWire P2P on the MepisLovers forum. It's a java P2P program with no filtering, ads or spyware. I gave it a try with Puppy and it works great....... Very fast download speed and super easy setup.

To get it going just untar THIS FILE and start it with java -jar FrostWire.jar

If someone wants to make a dotpup it would be even easier. (I don't know how... yet)

Have fun

Well, it seems to be limewire. But with a different name & logo.
In fact it is. Will look into, and see who is developing this.
Nice find none the less.
Heaven is on the way, until then let's get the truth out!

"FrostWire and LimeWire
The FrostWire Team, all of whom are still members of the LimeWire open-source community, disagrees with LimeWire's decision to consider filtering content on the Gnutella network (http://www.slyck.com/news.php?story=927) (LimeWire has not implemented this type of DRM technology into their client as of yet). However, we will continue supporting the LimeWire client development and do not wish to make fundamental or drastic changes to the LimeWire core itself. FrostWire will not break with LimeWire's design philosophy. FrostWire, unlike LimeWire, will never offer a PRO version. FrostWire will always remain Free as in both price and freedom."
