PostPosted: Tue 11 May 2010, 12:03    Post subject:  [HOWTO] Make Seamonkey Portable
Subject description: working with 1.x.x-1.1.9 series - and 2.x.xx series

I modified the abushcrafter script in order to make also Seamonkey portable

pay attention this works only with Seamonkey 1.x.x-1.1.9 series I have yet discovered a workaround to make portable also Seamonkey 2.x series

follow these steps:

download a Seamonkey en_US version between 1.1.x and 1.1.9

uncompress archive

put into the script I attach (in one archive zip)

click on portableseamonkey script

libdbus-1-3_1.2.1-5
libdbus-glib-1-2_0.76-1

are also required, you can download from here

http://bit.ly/aakcnp

or from debian repositories (lenny)

Code:
#!/bin/sh
#portable seamonkey
#Version 0.0.1
#Put together by Dingo, based on a script of Alexander S.T. Ross (abushcrafter)
#Based on the luncher from: https://www.privacyfoundation.de/wiki/PortableLinuxApps
#Also based on the launcher from: http://portools.com/apps/iceweasel-portable
#
