You know you can place all of those from pet into correspondent places without a script?
I like the gtk brushed theme (somehow it works on dpup which is picky when it comes to gtk themes - segfaults on most themes, doesn't even run other two from pack. ) I may as well add it to my puplet if I find it stable.
Also this command fails
Code: | cp /root/look/freespace.blinky/freespace /root/Startup |
there's no such dir it's called just "freespace"

Hi Dejan555
I had a feeling it would be possible to do by pet - i hope its ok i added your blackpup GTK theme, i also added a slightly modified version of your lagadesk rox-filer icon theme but for some reason i can't get it to work in this pet?
freespace should now work, also added ttuuxxxs updated blinky.
sorry for rapidshare link, if anyone knows of a better host can they let me know.
Download .v2 pet only (no script )

v3.
the GTK themes i used from gnome-look were causing errors so i swapped them out for some themes that are puppy compatible - replacement ROX-filer file manager icons now works - replacement tray volume icons should work with both Retrovol and absvolume - added a couple more wallpapers, icon packs (drives), GTK themes.
To do - sort massive folder icon in Desktop icon switcher - reduce wallpapers file size.
I will be adding more themes, wallpapers, icon packs - please post your recommendations, favorites and creations for inclusion.
Download puppy.look.v3

thanks.

Hey, there are some nice gtk themes there and all of them work on (k)dpup too I think I may use some of these with kde and look good.
BTW, rox icons for up and help are corrupt and mime types for txt files show triangle icon as if theyr'e non existant.

Hi dejan555,
could you try 9.5 please see if that fixes rox and mime icon problems.
http://rapidshare.com/files/387284289/puppy.look.9.5.pet.html
or
http://www.mediafire.com/file/mvuqtve1mgy/puppy.look.9.5.pet
Those icons are part of a glass icon set, they are also used in drive.icons in icon switcher as well if you could check those please see if they work.
thanks.

If you're interested, it would be great if you could provide one of your wonderful themes for the Stardust Desktop Environment (DuDE). It offers an improved way of manage themes for the Puppy desktop. In DuDE, you can store all different theme-settings as a global-theme. When stored, you can change the look of your desktop environment in one click via Ptheme or the 'mood-buttons' in the top tray.
At the moment DuDE contains 4 themes, but in fact only 2 of those are really worked through. A DuDE global theme contains themes for gtk, jwm, icons, wallpaper, pwidgets, analog clock, pwidgets sidebar and mouse cursor. I see you also work with rox-themes, so it should possibly be added into Ptheme. The coordinate-files are stored in /root/.stardust/themes and looks like this:
Code: | PTHEME_ICONS="Stardust-orange"
PTHEME_GTK="Stardust-orange"
PTHEME_JWM="Stardust-orange"
PTHEME_WALL="Stardust-orange.png"
PTHEME_PWIDGETS="Stardust-orange"
PTHEME_CLOCK="Stardust-orange.png"
PTHEME_SIDEBAR="fadebar___right.png"
PTHEME_MOUSE="RedDot" |
To include a theme in the DuDE.pet it has to be a small theme..... bigger themes could be downloaded as a pet. I would sure provide DuDE-themes on its forum page.

Hello zigbert,
One of the problems i have run into with puppy.look is the lack of global theme management - i had a quick search but couldn't find if pthemes is available as a stand alone application?
I installed Dude (minux pwidgets) this evening - i made a rough test.pet to add some stuff from puppy.look and get an idea of how things work - its not complete but there should be some new global themes (minus pwidgets themes) new menu icon pack, rox icons, mime icons, blinky etc.
