How to get started coding for Puppy?

#1 Post by thelaptopkiller »

Although I can only write bash scripts(and basic ones at that  ) I am good at compiling.
So if anyone wants something compiled I can do it.

But I still need to learn how to make pets :(

See here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 98&t=35507 (Pet Packaging 100 & 101 & Intro to 200). Me, I can write Tcl/Tk and Tcl/GTK+ code (which doesn't require compiling), but I'm not so good at compiling. If you'd like to give it a try, I've got a couple of suggestions. Would you like to try compiling these two packages, with the DOC and DEV portions in separate .PETs from the binaries:

(1) Gnocl 0.9.95 Tcl/GTK+ bindings (see http://www.gnocl.org)

(2) NtEd 1.10.4 musical score editor (or whatever is the latest version when you get to it--see http://vsr.informatik.tu-chemnitz.de/st ... nted.xhtml)

If so, thanks in advance, and welcome aboard!

EDIT 2010 May 8 02:27 PM: Oops, somebody beat you to it on NtEd: see http://puppylinux.org/wikka/NtEd. Want to try Gnocl 0.9.95--quick?
It's stupid to use inferior software for ideological reasons.
