Dragon Naturally Speaking under Wine

#1 Post by Frank Cox »

Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 is rated Gold (installs with no modifications and runs well) under Fedora and Silver (Very usable with a few minor adjustments) under several others.
It would be wonderful if someone here could get it , or even better version 11 to work in Puppy . In my time with the Lion's Club there was little effort made locally at least in setting up computers for the blind.
Also the tragically unskilled typist like myself :) could use it!

It is a long shot to get version 11 to work as it is rated Garbage, that should be self explanatory but it appears they tried it with the latest wine so it is possible. 10 is a more reasonable project. I would love to do it myself but I am just now learning how to compile and install drivers so I have no clue how. If no one decides to take it up I will take a shot and see if it installs and if not build a Fedora machine.

What's odd is I can but version 11 Standard for less (25.00 at Tiger) than I have found version 10 Standard.
