/tmp on PUP001 too small to download ISO image?

#1 Post by puppypilgrim »

I tried downloading a 650 MB ISO image file today and ran out of /tmp space causing the download to abort. I saw the settings going down using Torsmo.

Here is what ti looks like:
Swap Usage: 0 of 1.43 G (0%)
File system
/root 69.0M of 248 M free (I guess this is my PUP file)
/ 1.62G of 1.68 G free (is this usr_cram.fs? I don't know)
/mnt/home 33.58 G of 37.49G free (my /mnt/hdc1)

Question, how do I setup Puppy so that the /tmp location or PUP001 is large enough to download large ISO files? I was also surprised it did not engage the swap drive to assist in this regard.

When I download with mozilla, I can hoose, where to save.
I save on a mounted ext or fat32-drive then without problems.

For more infos on your system, please type two comands in a consolewindow, and post the output here:

df -m
probepart

You definitely need to send those big downloads directly to your big /mnt/home freespace area!
