#1 Post by cleg223 »

Hi, im runny puppy linux 4.4.1 im not sure how i installed it... im running from a usb stick.

can i ask...

how do i get puppy linux to read my personal save file when i boot up?

How do I install programs or apps so they are still there when i reboot?

is there a way of setting my puppy linux to connect to any wireless lan it can find? (automatically)?
I have more questions but cant think of them right now, any help?

Hi, could you check which kernel you are using by opening a console window and typing "uname -r" (without the quote marks) please?

Also, what background image do you see on your desktop? Thanks

Welcome to the kennels :)
When through some mysterious process
you installed Puppy Linux to a USB key drive
the option to save your settings was offered.
Was the save file on your USB drive?
Was it on your hard drive?
We don't really know what you have done :?
How do I install programs or apps so they are still there when i reboot?
Program apps are added to your save file

Automatically adding an encrypted password too?
Maybe.
Mostly Puppy will connect to the last LAN it was set up for.
Clicking the 'connect' icon (if available) will give you new networks.
