Sub_title: When puppy was lean...

While sorting out old CDs, I have found some old(?) Puppies(?)

I don't recall what the Ram pUP WAS FOR but the name implies that it runs totally in RAM(I guess)

Only 2MB something.

Now the Puppy version 1.08 weighting only 15MB or so.

I feel kind of sad. How Puppylinus has became so FATTER and SLOWER.

We should learn from SliTaz and Tiny Core .

The Puppy 1.08 .iso is 62MB. Perhaps you have an extremely stripped down version.

" just tried rampup.
It is definitively small, but, not that useful.
It is missing several important commands like
mkdir, lsmod, modproble, etc.
I was not able to mount a hard drive. "

I gues the one I have is a kind of bare version.

I actually don't care much about the size(in today's environment) but it seems like Pupyy is getting slower than before.

I blamed all that on the fat.

Any way, thank you for correcting the info.

John
