Although this issue is not a show-stopper, I had hopes of using this external USB modem universally, because of its size and portability, but I cannot get Puppy 2.17.1 or 4.3.1 to recognize the modem. I did get it to work (connect) in WinXP Pro with USR driver. Any suggestions? http://www.usr.com/support/product-template.asp?prod=5635 |

nubc, I see no indication that the 5635 is supported by any linux distribution. But you were close: The 5637 is a USB dongle that USR officially states is supported by linux. Richard |
