in windows xp i can dialup using clarity-IIA WLL phone. but in puppy linux 431 modem is detected (using this cmd "dmesg") but in wvdial not. how to resolve this problem?? please help

You are the second person to inquire about this type of device. Here is how I worked it for the first poster:

If you Start with puppy 4.3.1 and install the two packages here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=388235#388235
the rules file is included as /etc/udev/rules.d/50-modprobe-usbserial.rules.

I am willing to explore getting the thing to work, but need your help to do it. So, please try installing the packages onto a puppy 4.3.1 and report what happens when you boot up, (not detected), go into pupdial and probe > PROBE to find it. You can collect the results with the command pmodemdiag. It creates a file that has everything I need to understand what happens.
