Emachines eM250 wireless not working

#1 Post by bentonbee »

Hi ,
I have purchased an emachines eM250 netbook. I want to get puppy linux working on it. I am looking for a puplet or version that will work on it. I have tried Puppy 4.2 Puppy 4.3.1 and the newest Puppee 4.3.1 and my wired network card AND my wireless network card are not detected. So help! I have tried downloading madwifi.pet the latetest version and to no avail. I want to get this thing going with a puppy version that is able to use the wireless network card.
Thanks

Lucid 5.1 runs well with emachines D750. May be it works ok in your eM250. Try it.

pup on emachine

#6 Post by mortlocl »

lately been running wary and LXpup on my eMachine netbook.

..had the usual prob with hooking up to my wireless dialup apple airport system but found that using the network setup in LX worked first pop...where as doing the same thing in wary failed to work ?? not sure why..but discovered in LX that Frisbee made it even easier.

Installed Frisbee in Wary ..and it work there as well.. GREAT!!
