I love how they neglected to rename the SFS or remove a lot of the references to Puppy, At least l0wtech has the common decency (and perhaps legal foresight?) to thoroughly remove any Puppy references from Studio before selling it.

Perfect example of FUD - Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt

Your neighbours could also be rerouting your television broadcasts
and editing them to provide you with a false view of the world.
Adding extra flouride to your water.
Stealing your electricity
and cutting your lawn at night.

[yawn]
All possible for people who have nothing better to do.
All possible to imagine.

Sometimes we just get on with our Internet and computer life . . .
You are now returned to your usual mind state.

and then there was Gimbal . . .

Remember if wearing a tin hat or not using a mobile phone
you are particularly of interest to marketers and other agencies.
Tin hats you can sell anything to.

Maybe they are nice people. I've added a video showing some of the things they'd done in your neck of the woods.

My question is why they aren't being nice. I tend to think they might be good guys and not being nice is effective when dealing with some people.

Seven minute video, but you don't have to watch it all to get the feel.

Here is the real thing. The truth is out there.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/48160193/ns ... ta-breach/

the TrustedSec security consultancy firm, has updated its report to verify that it was, in fact, the Yahoo! Voices site.

The beleaguered Internet company Yahoo! has another crisis on its hands: 450,000 user email addresses and passwords stolen from its user-generated content service, Yahoo! Voices.

Even worse, all the passwords were stored unencrypted, or in "plaintext," right out there for anyone to read.

end of quote

Why do they have them in plain text? Sloppy handling of our precious
passwords :) So even if you are paranoic does not mean they are not
there spying on you :) Yes error spelling I know correct it please :)

Are you pretty sure it's a crisis? Do you think any of the faithful will leave?

Playing a guess a bit of Devil's Advocate, I ask, Why should they care?

My email service is https and it keeps servers in places where the US has no treaties.

Why don't people use my service instead of the open and exploitable ones?

I think some of the reason is it lacks Brand Name Recognition, somewhat like Linux on desktops.

Maybe they are nice people.
They are what they are.
There is not an emoticon for irony, so sometimes difficult to tell when my attempts at humour are not funny . . .

People and groups are a mixture of qualities. Mother Theresa is not all good (if at all) and Adolf Lederhosen Hitler was kind to Puppys

. . . and now back to the paranoia . . .
