How do I uninstall or remove mediaplayerconnectivity. I installed it to help me setup video in firefox, but now firefox crashes every time I start it and puppy stops responding. I uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, but mediaplayerconnectivity keeps coming back attached to the new firefox installation.

Your Firefox user profile isn't deleted or removed when you uninstall/remove Firefox, or reinstall.

Unless you'd rather delete your entire user profile and start over, try this:
Open the terminal (rxvt), and type the following:

firefox -safe-mode

...and press Enter. Firefox should start in Safe Mode, with the extensions disabled, and pop up a notice window with some additional troubleshooting options. Click the "Continue in Safe Mode" button.
Then, in the main Firefox window, select Add-ons from the Tools menu, go to the Extensions list, and from there, you can select mediaplayerconnectivity and uninstall it.
Close Firefox once you're finished, and restart it as you normally would.
