OK so I am trying to fix up my Karmic upup by adding a few programs and I am given a listing of dependent packages. Trouble is that I have trouble finding them to install. Very few are listed individually most being hidden inside other selections.
Finding these is a hit and miss thing with me and I suspect there is something I do not yet know. What could this be?
I remember an earlier version of wget would go find the packages for you but the new one doesn't. Pity.
So now I have tons of stuff downloaded and the new programs that I want still don't work.
FYI it is Gnome games that I'm trying for. Some work others are still incomplete.
How does one find desired packages?
