Hi G.Wolf!
Just wanted to let you know that when I d/loaded your files they didn't come through as .pets but as .gz files instead. Perhaps this is the reason why they failed to work for the above poster? I dunno. -shrug-
Myself? I've always and a day preferred Xine above any other video player out there, and to have an updated version of it here for my Puppy? - it's truly greatly appreciated mate!
I simply renamed the the file format from ".gz" to ".tar.gz" and used my preferred method of installing - which is to open files in XFE and then move files & directories to where they belong. I like to know exactly where everything is on my system and in this way I do.
To make a very long story shorter mate: Once that was finished, the menu was refreshed, I was up and running perfectly fine - playing all types of files in my Dpup-484b3 frugal install.
Works a treat! Love the programme and appreciate the hard work, plus all the source files included, along with the Gecko plugins! Thank you so much my Fellow Puppian Friend for your dedication and hard work so "loafers" like ME might go out with a BANG.
Amicalement/Cheers!
