Puppy Linux grugal saves?

#1 Post by vinceHEART »

Hello Forum,

I Put Puppy linux onto my laptop. It is a frugal install to the hard disc
drive.

When Puppy was first used, it asked me to create a save file a power
down. I tried my PEN drive as the save location.

Puppy infact does save itself to the pen. However, on subsequent boot
ups, Puppy is not reading the saved settings file.

So, this means my Puppy linux is not saving any settings that are made to the distro etc.

The PEN drive was not a single EXT 2 partition. I am not sure if the partition was bootable or not?...

can anybody see why Puppy is not recalling it's pup.sfs settings fiel on boot up?.

any advice will be appreciated.

thanks

Vince.
