Application Installation Question(s)...........
How Do I Install this Application? (http://www.wviewweather.com/) To Puppy431.... I Down Loaded It and Unzipped it to a Folder....
That's It.... I Have NO Idea what to Do Now.... Any Help would be Greatly Appreciated from Friend or Foe.... Thanks and Have a Great Day....
Ps.. Bronco Billy is in Dire Need of New Found Knowledge.....
Well looks feasable...after a quick look the debian lenny package and a couple of dependencies needed (radlib/libgd2)...sooo you can either manually try to put this together or make a request for a pet to be made in the 'additional software ' section and usually someone there does the magic.
the first is the precompiled binary and the latter for getting any dependencies...search and go from the lenny i386 ones.
Get used to doing it this way and running from a terminal to track down what's needed and you are free to pick up all sorts and get them running.
There's usually something available to unpack debs and they just get extracted to '/' The debian site lists everything you need I a pretty straightforward way and their stuff works.
Run pfix=ram with a frugal setup and you can test to your hearts content ...
hope that helps
mike
ps even if you felt like compiling you still have to chase up the dependancies
