lashstudio release 3

#1 Post by mariuss »

Hi,

for those interested, there's a reworked version of lashstudio module with a new build of muse (v1.0.1) that solves an incompatibility with the 2.6.30 kernel from the main iso of 431. in other words, this release is for the "real" puppy 431 (based on sfs 4), not for the retro variants like release 2 was.

some changes: besides new version of muse, there's celt support for netjack (also, since release 2, jack is build against freebob and ffado for firewire keyboard support), proper patchage icon on the menu and added some missing ladsapa.

Lashstudio is a quick and dirty, lash centered, setup of applications for audio and midi. It is packed as an sfs module for puppy linux.

have fun!

This is from you quickstart
QUICK START:
Setup lashstudio module:
* Save a new puppy session to disk;
* Go back to that session and tell puppy to load the lashstudio module at the next reboot (Menu->System->BootManger; note: the module must be placed either at the top level of your hd, eihter in a first level directory, not a subdirectory).
Setup jack:
* In qjackctl setup window check realtime and force 16 bit (if you have an ordinary audio card);
I am running from CD
Should the sfs go in /mnt/home ?
or somewhere else?
It will only be recognised in /mnt/home surely?

This is as far as I get . . .
note: the module must be placed either at the top level of your hd, either in a first level directory, not a subdirectory).

can you be more specific?

to start jack you should have qjackctl in the menu->multimedia
I hope the module was loaded successfully though...

I don't have it under menu/multimedia
that is why I tried from the command line

Anyone else try?
