Step 1 Run on a 64 bit processor [check]
Step 2 Run 64 Bit Puppy [eh no - used SMP multiprocessor system - may have to seek out 64bit kernel]
Step 3 Install Java [quite possibly - yes check]
Step 4 Make larger Personal storage file [check]
Step 5 Download and install SDK [check - only updated to 1.6 - not using 64 bit Puppy]

Hi, here is one for you,

Imagine, a mobile microSD of - say - 1G. Now, let's put an Android on it in some way I still try to study... make my mobile work with Android. On same time let's put a bootable Puppy nearby on same microSD remastered to share DATA folder of both 'creatures' natively. Assuming "mass storage device enabled" on mobile you can carry mobile anywhere as an independent OS and when you meet anyPC you take the mobile USB data/charging cable and connect mobile-to-PC, booting PC on USB-HDD 1st. boot, and here you can use same DATA on both sides. Now, imagine you do both sides with same Puppy (Android out ?), or even store some of DATA, heavy programs, KDE, etc' on a cloud (as mobile connections become faster reliable and cheep). Am I delirious ? not if it's Potchan. It will be cool to take this chat a little further with you and some others who deeply convinced as U R it is time for Puppy lite technology to make a quantum leap.

Okay guys,
I just thought for the hell of it I would search Android in the forums and look what I found. This sounds very exciting, as I am currently awaiting my new
Google ET M-43a MID. with Android on it, to arrive

Getting it from China (just to play with) can't help myself. Twas the only place selling it that I could find.

Look forward to your tests, I plan on doing some tinkering myself. Alas I am new to Linux and puppy so am still on a steeeeep learning curve. So am sure to be much slower. I wait with anticipation for the tests that you are doing.

Another cool thing I found for Android is the Android Scripting Environment.

It means I can get a terminal and can write scripts that can be run as services or just run normally.

Can also do python and lua scripting too.

The most interesting feature I've had a play with is the text to speech library.

Written a couple of things so far, one to read the contents of text files. Next I want to right a pdf2txt converter so I can have pdfs read to me by my phone.
