connecting to xp from puppy 4
puppy doesn't see my xp machine at bood up. using pnethood with a scan time of 30 seconds no go, even 60 seconds.
after messing around and reading for a few hours I installed linneighborhood and by lots of just clicking and doing I found my xp machine. logging on was another thing; turns out with my setup the user/pwd combo is what is set for my ROUTER. wouldn't have guessed that easily.
anyway at reboot I loose the connection every time. I have go to terminal and run pnethood XPHOME (server name) or I.P address then pnethood gui pops up and has [connect] buttons next to my shares which I have to press to connect.
I'd like to automate this process so I'm connected and ready to go.
I could prob get to calling pnethood at startup but how do I make it automatically connect the shares instead of just popping up the pnethood gui?

look at the smbmount command and once it works ok, use it in the startup _________________ Time savers:
