#1 Post by led9 »

hi!
i'm russian, use google translater, I hope this is readable and will not to anger you:

my motherboard:
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.us.as ... 8%20Pro3-M

puppy 4.3.1 - not boot from cd, not boot from usb
"clean install" - from grub4dos -
worked on the previous motherboard
and now works on other computers
but - does not work on my new motherboard.

puppy 5.2.8 - all the same and the same error:

"Searching for Puppy files in computer disk drives...
lupu-528.sfs not found
Dropping out to initial ramdisk console..."

and - a prompt to the console.

on the advice, I tried to find out how to puppy linux saw the flash.
written to the console - dmesg | more, read all the lines - there is no flash drive!
usb keyboard and there, usb mouse is, and there is no flash drive. and in general there is no hard drive. - No sda or sd*

I tried to run cd ubuntu 11.10 64bit - booted.

that is my motherboard is already known new Linux assembly. only not known for puppy linux.

Update, please:)

Your computer may be a little too cutting edge with a Intel Sandy Bridge Processor and all. You may have to wait for Racy Edition or others to mature and use them. Use of the newer kernel is needed more than likely.

My AMD 6 core is just now starting to be useful with Puppy.

slacko-5.29.6-SCSI.iso
slacko 32 = no errors! :D
- but only vesa mode works.
turn xorg - black screen and nothing happens.
AMD Radeon HD 6850
