Subject description: How is Puppy organised

How is Puppy organised? Nobody really knows. Laughing

My Judo teacher Alex, once told me - you can not knock over a ball
He was showing me a technique that involved being thrown from
the shoulder and using the momentum to be thrown into a perfect position for a retaliatory shoulder throw.

At the moment I am trying to make sense of the Puppy chaos
to illustrate the nature of the ball

It just keeps rolling

My apologies for its rather sparse and unbalanced nature
If you are not there yet - eh - let someone know - or join and edit Embarassed

Puppy, Chaos at work

Some time ago, volunteers (perhaps including Lobster) wrote this at puppylinux.org:
Quote:
How is Puppy organised?

It depends on what goal is to be achieved.
Barry Kauler is chief developer who leads the development of official releases, the latest being version 4.3.
Community Editions (official CE versions) are run by project leaders, the recent 4.2/4.2.1 version was run by Warren Willson (whodo).
Projects are run by individuals or groups and posted/discussed in the Forum.
Because Puppy is both flexible and fast, it can set up an organization as required for a given aim.

That is a good description of how the Puppy Linux project is organized.

Cute! I guess subtle humour is like a fine wine or the taste to enjoy it, eh? Laughing

Yes raffy I remember writing that.

What seems to be currently happening is developers of
wooflets and puplets and programs are writing
and releasing for a current simplicity.

It is simplicity and minimalism that allows
practically no hindrance from the terminally managerial Wink

The terminally managerial will always trend towards
barking rather than running . . . Wink

Long may we run without committee designed horses (aka camel)
Just a plug for the alternative . . . Cool

"A camel is a horse designed by committee."
