How do I install Bittorrent and AIM in Puppy?

#1 Post by buckdog »

I am trying to install some software on Puppy, specifically Bittorrent and AIM, but don't know if I should choose .
Red Hat 6.0 and above
SuSE 6.4
Mandrake 7.0

Debian 2.1
deb
Debian 3+
All other OS

I tried the All other OS option, but it won't oppen in Puppy. Puppy is extremely easy to use, and works 500 Times faster than Windows on my 2.7GHZ PC.

I just updated the Where to find Puppy Linux P2P file distribution points wiki page with instructions on how to install (compile) BitTorrent.

the original bit torrent program and bit tornado are written in python and require python to be installed

azureus is a java program and requires java to be installed

ctorrent is written in C and doesn't require anything else to be installed, but it's a small and simple command line program
