Same issue here -- no Pwidgets. Md5sum and burn both verified, booting from fresh CD as 'puppy pfix=ram'.
Striking wallpaper, I must say.... I like it!
BTW, how would one go about increasing the font size in the Firefox browser? Not a problem with Gray's work at all -- the problem is with the tired old eyes on this end.

You have to start pwidgets from the pwifgets gui File menu option - Stop/Start Pwidgets.

CTRL SHIFT + increase fontsize
CTRL SHIFT - decrease fontsize

hello mr gray
i just found your pupplet and am downloading it now.
if you could answer a question i have, i would be thankful.
why wasn't the boxpup 431 put in the puppy linux home site?
it seems puppy is divided up into groups. and if you are not
part of a certain group, will, you end up without the latest
puplets. i hope the question is ok.
thank you

Thanks, guys... it works.
Please, please, please do not think that I am trying to nit-pick here, but is anybody else having problems formatting or creating a bootable USB with GParted? I ended up doing a full install, but had to use Boxpup 413r1 for the formatting.
As always, Gray, I am thankful for your work!

This is the first SMP Boxpup that boots with my SDHC card left installed in its slot but, unfortunately, I may have to roll back to a previous version as well. -- NAH, I'll just live with it for a while longer!
I did use my full install of Boxpup 431 to download a 19kB dot-pet from another thread as a short test. It worked. Keep in mind that my present connection is really bad -- sometimes requiring 10 minutes to load a single web page of text. But having problems with Gparted, Pwidgets battery monitor doesn't show.
Dang! And I really like Gray's work, too!
Might just need a bit more tweaking for a revision 1 version....

hello
i have to agree with roy on the quality of the work. i am retired and most of the day
i download different pupplets and check them out. so far mr. gray's have been
top notch. between nop and boxpup, its hard choosing which one to run.
anyway, mr. gray, you are quite a programmer.

From Puplet for special features:
| Quote: | Puppy Linux is a live CD that is easy to remaster, and puplets are remasters with special features. They are different in one or many ways from the standard (official) Puppy.
For example, ttuuxxx has been creating remasters of Puppy with Firefox since Puppy version 4.2, and he calls his puplet "Puppies". Pizzasgood has recently created a 4.2.1 multiuser puplet. Puppy can also be run in Virtual Machine in Windows (1 GB RAM required!) - see playdayz' VirtualBox puplet. A much-appreciated puplet series is the NOP/XFCE series by Gray. |
Boxpup is part of Gray's NOP/XFCE series and is visible in the repository.

i was waiting for new boxpup and pleased that some of my wishes are inside!
is it possible to request a 'retro' version based on 25 kernel (it works better with wifi on eee
firefox crashes on sites with media and complains for libgconf4.so (maybe slackware's FF will work better since it has no gnome-dependencies)
how about new opera 10.10( maybe a static qt4)?
thank you gray
