I don't have linux running at the moment but I think the gz archive is an executable binary. Try renaming to gplanarity, changing permissions, and executing from the command line.

Not sure if it is the latest, but here you go:

Edit: Isn't .gz a compression format?

Thanks, no working link to a download with this one.

Yes indeed I've tried this and gz format is all I can find of it. Petget claims to install it when clicked on but apparently doesn't.. Extracted it but could not find an executable file, couldn't start from command line either. I'll keep working on this one, good learning experience :)

Sorry, that's what I get for not paying more attention to things. Try this one, it brought up a download dialog for me:

I was able to extract the gz archive with gzip -d gPlananrity.gz and execute the file but it just brought up a blank window. :(

Actually this 'neat' game made me stay up far too late last night...I reckon it should be in the standard puppy collection.....I am currently avoiding running it again :D

Hi, note that the latest version of gPlanarity includes internationalization support, It would be nice to have an updated package on ibiblio.

I installed your .pet but I get nothing but the .desktop file and a few pictures. I installed the dependencies it said I needed. What am I missing? Do I need Java or something?

No it doesn't use java, I just repackaged it on page 1, the .desktop had a typo in it. so uninstall it and try the updated version.

hi ttuuxxx

I talked about this in a dpup bug thread, but since it seems to be a gPlanarity issue I thought I'd mention it again here.

The gPlanarity pet fires up in a blank window, and only after the window size has been increased do you get to see the program. This continues after closing and re-opening the app.

I have noticed, while resizing the window, that its original dimensions appear to be 0 x 0 (at least that's what the tooltip says that appears when I grab the window corner with the mouse). I have no idea if this is relevant or not :?

Its only a distraction, so I'm not really fussed but if you know of a fix, that'd be great.

For anyone that hasn't played gPlanarity because the application window is blank, just resize it, and all works :-)

edit: typo

yes but that's only a dpup issue, like I said it works perfect on 2.14X and probably every other puppy release. Still its a strange thing.
