Similar issue to IP2600 below ....???????

It seems to have a similar issue to the ip2600 one a couple of posts ahead. I'm running CUPS 1.3.11. I can set up the Canon Pixma MX860 printer. I can even see the printer over the Network
configuration function at the IP address. (http://192.168.1.12/index.html). CUPS will show sending a file and then that it is completed but nothing actually prints.

I started to follow the debug shown in the IP2600 post. The ppd is in usr/share/cups/model. However, there is no "symlink" in usr/lib. What can I do about the lack of symlink??
