MuseScore 0.9.5 + Jack + updated QT 4.6.0 + Extra Codecs

#1 Post by sikpuppy »

Here's the latest version of Musicscore. I haven't done much except play the demo tune, which worked, perhaps the rest needs someone more familiar with the actual program to fiddle with. I would especially like to know if any features are missing since I tried in this instance to make the packages as complete as possible (I see no reason to cut corners when anyone that uses this probably would get bent out of shape if a feature was missing that was available in previous efforts).

The Jack install also includes extra options for Firewire devices which, although not necessary, may be useful to someone.

I need to get a control centre PET together for Jack, maybe QTCtrlJack, so if the rest is working ok I will upload that shortly.

Now here's what you need to do:

1) First off, change your USER AGENT to Firefox if you are using Seamonkey using these instructions: Click here.
(Unless you already have, in which case....)

2) Here's the required PETs:

MusicScore PET 2.4Mb
Jack + extras 5.1Mb
Sndfile PET <1Mb
Portaudio codec <1Mb

and you will need this SFS, which is the updated QT library.

QT 4.6.0 SFS 39Mb Md5: 8601d69c9a98ba10fa2a4dc8a22f2143

All the files are necessary or the program will not start.

3) The program should be there under the Multimedia section of the menu. There is an icon, but I forgot to make that appear in the menu. If that's the only thing I have borked I will be a happy chappy.

4) If you want the Docs, or the Internationalisation files, they are here:
MusicScore Document PET
MusicScore Internationalisation PET
ASUS A1000, 800Mhz PIII Coppermine!, 192Mb RAM, 10Gb IBM Travelstar HDD, Build date August 2001.
