GIMP 2.7.0 beta compile

#1 Post by sikpuppy »

READ THIS FIRST: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 799#358799

Here's something else I have done. The pet contains:

GIMP 2.7.0 (beta)
GTK+ 2.18.3
GLIB 2.22.2
PANGO 1.26.0
BABL 0.1.0 (pixel format conversion library)
GEGL 0.1.0 (graph based image processing framework)

They were all compiled from source, with no sneaky cheating and using pre-compiled binaries :P

If you want the help files, then you need to install two extra PETs:

GIMP-HELP-2-2 : 26Mb PET
WEBKIT: To display it. (or you can navigate to /usr/share/gimp/2.0/help/en/index.html after you have downloaded the help PET, and it should fire up your default browser).

However, if not, and you have an internet connection handy, then GIMP defaults to using on-line help (it opens an external browser)
