Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood (Version 1.0, released Nov 7, 2009) - rh-linux-demo-x86.run 61.90 MB

I used to love this game, played in Windows, but the Linux port looks pretty good too, if you like it, please buy it! I think it's fantastic when game developers bother making a Linux port, so I like to encourage people to encourage them :P

This is just the demo by the way.

Robin Hood The Legend of Sherwood is a strategy/RPG game for Linux. You take on the role of the hero Robin Hood, and the roles of his faithful vassals and take them to the battle field against the nasty Prince John Lackland.

The thrilling story is introduced by an award-winning introduction and transfers you directly into the hero's body with the first mission, in which you have to set the captive comrades free. Take up the battle against the oppressors and free the farmers from the Prince's reign! Be smart, be fast! Be Robin Hood!

· More than 30 non-linear missions in which, for instance, you have the duty to save Little John and Brother Tuck, to prevent a wedding between Marianne and the revolting Guy of Gisbourne or to attack the taxation collectors of the Sheriff of Nottingham
· Visit five giant castles on different ways, at day- and night times, and at different weather conditions
· Play with up to nine integrated characters being outstanding due to their specific abilities and qualities
· Due to an innovative fighting system you are able to control the hero's sword in battles by mouse
· Decide yourself which tactic appears to be the right one for you: reach the goal by creeping around the guards or fight bravely using sword and bow

Requirements:
· Linux Kernel 2.2.x or later
· Glibc 2.1.x or later
· Pentium 500 or better processor
· 128 MB RAM
· Video card with 8 MB video memory
· XFree86 version 3.3.x or later
· OSS compatible sound card
· 4x CD ROM
· 1 GB Hard Disc space

I suppose you'll also probably have to have the usual SDL, 3D acceleration/DRI, and OpenGL.

Installation is pretty easy, just change the permissions of the download, (right click and look for properties or permissions and tick execute) and click to install to the folder the run file is in.
