Subject description: After I may have unplugged it while it was mounted.

I just bought an 8GB Sansa Clip+ and added a 16GB SDHC card to it.
When I first connected it to Puppy 4.2.1 via USB, I could see the internal memory as SDE1 and the SDHC card as SDF1.

At some point, I think I must have unplugged the USB connection while SDE1 was mounted. Now, the "Mount" applet sees only the SDHC card as SDE1. I have tried rebooting Puppy, deleting and re-adding the mount point, and using both the MUT and pmount options to the "Mount" applet.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

I did a little additional checking and found that the icon for /dev/sdd (in ROX filer) shows a problem. Any attempt to do anything with /dev/sdd results in an error message with "stale nfs handle".

I booted from CD and ran e2fsck on /dev/sdc1 (which is where my pup_save.sfs file is). It did find and fix some errors, but had no affect on /dev/sdd or my problem with the Clip+.

I found the cause of this to be "stale NFS file handle" on /dev/sdd. I tried everything I could to replace the /dev/sdd file, but nothing worked (even if I booted from cd with pfix=ram). I ended up re-installing Puppy and creating a new pup_save file. Now I back up the pup_save file every day. I really wish there was a better way to back up the pup_save file without having to reboot every time, as I would like to automate the process.
