Hi there,

I've read around on the forums and found a fair bit about ACPI buttons for the EeePC. However, I'm not succeeding in getting this to work for me, on a Geode-based tablet PC I am using known as a 'WebDT'. This device has a few hardware buttons that can be assigned to launch software etc.

I installed Puppy 4.30 some time ago, and managed to get a response from the hardware buttons on this device (checked this using 'xev'). At that time, when I did a 'lsmod' I saw that some ACPI stuff was loaded and, most importantly, the "atlas_btns" module was loaded.

However, now I have installed Puppy 4.31 and I am having less luck. When I type "modprobe acpi" I am told that acpi_cpufreq finds no compatible devices. When I type "modprobe atlas_btns" Puppy can't find that module (even though I made sure it was in the lib/modules/2.6???/kernel/drivers/input/misc path, or wherever it should go...)

I have put "acpi=force" into extlinux.conf

Can someone help me load the atlas_btns.ko module? How can I check dependencies/prerequisites for this?

Thanks!
