Install alongside xubuntu - use of swap? |
|
Hi all, installed an hour ago and loving it so far! However, this is the high powered machine I don't always have access to. I have another, 256M of memory, which I'm now looking to put puppy on. It already has another linux distro with a swap partition on it, but for the time being I'm going to install alongside in a new partition (if all goes to plan I'll then get rid of the other distro). I'm not exactly a great linux expert, if I create a new partition for puppy will it automatically use the existing swap partition, or do I set up another swap partition?

All linux will automatically use that swap partition.
