the same applies...the use of 7z would still be required...using xarchiver to unpack packages is pretty manual.

Probably a year too late to do any good, but, to extract

ftp://fr2.rpmfind.net/linux/fedora/development/i386/os/Packages/hugin-2010.2.0-1.fc15.i686.rpm

I found that
Code:
rpm2cpio 'hugin-2010.2.0-1.fc15.i686.rpm' | cpio -idmv
works.
