Puppy uses wodim, which fails to burn using .cue files

#1 Post by disciple »

Puppy includes Wodim, and to add insult to injury, the cdrtools package in petget is labelled that wodim "is better".
Wodim fails to burn my cue files (created by a fairly old version of exactaudiocopy), on three different burners (3 different brands, with ages spread over ten years). Cdrecord works fine.

Code: Select all

Starting to write CD/DVD at speed 48.0 in real SAO mode for single session.
Last chance to quit, starting real write i 0 seconds. Operation starts.
Waiting for reader process to fill input buffer ... input buffer ready.
Performing OPC...
Sending CUE sheet...
wodim: CUE sheet not accepted. Retrying with minimum pregapsize = 1.
Errno: 5 (Input/output error), send_cue_sheet scsi sendcmd: no error
CDB: 5D 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 A0 00
status: 0x2 (CHECK CONDITION)
Sense Bytes: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 26 00 00 00
Sense Key: 0x5 Illegal Request, Segment 0
Sense Code: 0x26 Qual 0x00 (invalid field in parameter list) Fru 0x0
Sense flags: Blk 0 (not valid)
cmd finished after 0.009s timeout 200s
wodim: CUE sheet still not accepted. Please try to write in RAW (-raw96r) mode.
wodim: Cannot send CUE sheet.
wodim: Could not write Lead-in.
Writing time: 13.356s
BURN-Free was never needed.
wodim: fifo had 64 puts and 0 gets.
wodim: fifo was 0 times empty and 0 times full, min fill was 100%.
Wodim won't even try to burn .cue files in RAW mode, so their error message is nonsense too

Does cdrdao handle them ok?

I forked off with pburn when all these 'dependancies' crept in

This is not a pburn issue, but a wodim issue... there is another problem with pburn :)
