Playstation Emulator, pSX version 1.13.
pSX homepage http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/
pSX plays more games then ePSXe and can play most all image flies, or can be played from disc. runs with less resources then ePSXe, but graphics are not as good.Bios is included.
You can find pSX in the menu under fun.

pSX needs opengl,so you need a somewhat modern graphics card with drivers.

Hmmm, you supply bios with emulator? Shouldn't you leave that to others to ...err... obtain

Hey, no problem for me, but last time I checked ps bios wasn't nor freeware, nor gpl, so you may ask admins or moderators here if that's ok.

They work.. Thanks alot for this PET file...

I've inluded this pet file (along with lots of other emulators) in my puplet 'Puppy Arcade' which can be found here:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 584#341584 (I've removed the BIOS files though!)

If anyone out there wants to get videogame emulation working then the Puppy Arcade thread is a good place to look.

Look here, in the Puppy Arcade 10 thread, for links to sc0ttman's archived pSX .pet, among others.

Here's how I got PSX emulator to run on Lucid.

#10 Post by hollywood »

Got emulator psx from: http://ppm.scottjarvis.com/
Needed libgtkglext1 dependency obtained from: http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/i386/l ... 1/download
Emulator worked perfectly.

Hi! I thanks for the psx link coz I;ve searched all over the net. Now the problem is the libgtkglext1 you provided is not working. It seems the lucid packages have been archived from from ubuntu packages or something. What can I do now. My puppy is Lucid 5.2.8. When I open run it, it displays the following:

Code: Select all

error while loading shared libraries: libgtkglext-x11-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have found a solution. Go to puppy package manager under Setup -- Setup Puppy -- menu. Then search for libgtkglext. Then install click the result that reads "libgtkglext1_1.2.0-1 OpenGL Extension to GTK+(shared libraries)". You can choose download only from PPM(puppy package manager), then it will download the package with a .deb prefix in a folder called root. Now just click it and install it and Psx runs as good as a PS1 console. Also grab yourself a GTA2 game from rockstar games website as it is free download. Very good entertainment now. Thanx
