Subject description: Showfoto available in Puppy Stretch

10 views only since last post. Puppy Linux, OS for training Linux only, not for hobbies.. That would be a shame, because Puppy is not badly featured in Photographics family. Has all the functionality I need to edit my photos. Perhaps not as intuitive as Picasa and weaker in some areas (e.g. red-eye reduction)."
Showfoto available in Puppy Stretch packages manager. What showfoto looks like ?
Was included in teenpup ? I don't remember it woud be an app to test how PPM works in Puppy Strecth. Vamos.
Feed back soon.
Positive : PPM seems to be serviceable. Bad ; showfoto is huge (strange).
2017 Teenpup has still no equivalent.

Hello Pelo,
Legacy OS formally TEENpup is still very much alive. Version 2017 still based on the 2 series of Puppy like TEENpup 2009 is getting close to being released.
Stay Tuned...

PostPosted: Thu 14 Sep 2017, 21:48    Post subject: Playing, without Linuxing :)

Each time i launch my Teenpup, it's a pleasure. Sure it is not may daily Puppy; but i have not a daily Puppy.. Always testing release candidates..
My Teenpup is vintage, bu i can be an user wit it, not a tester solving the bugs. Playing, without Linuxing Smile
About apps to add (topic Title) Tellico would be a good one. Easy with Teenpup !
Error about screenshot : not only expensive, but tender souvernirs as Casio PB100 Ram 7Ko or Oric Atmos on the family TV (HDMI ? not yet) and tapes for recording sessions Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
I was a geek, younger. Never again Exclamation

Dedoimedo mentions Teenpup's Magic Scripts in his article about unique Linux projects;

I, too, ran across that Dedoimedo article today. Congrats John Biles! Ahead of your time, apparently. Cool

Makes me wonder how many of those scripts might work in a current puppy, by just dropping TEENpup's script folder into /root. Hmm...

Hello Moat,
Magic Scripts for Multimedia conversion relies on FFmpeg to do the conversion. The version of FFmpeg used by Legacy OS is 0.61 Experiments with later versions of FFmpeg showed the script commands have changed slighty. Some of the Magic Scripts still work with the current version of FFmpeg. I plan to update Magic Scripts for use in current Puppy versions. Once done will post a Tar.gz package to install.
