I know we have instructions on how to do this, but maybe making a packaged .iso available would make it easier for the less technical. If you had to deal with people who doesn’t know how to burn an ISO image file, here is an idea to make things easier for them instead of guiding them over the phone.
You can make a self burning package for an ISO file. Meaning the user can just run a single executable file and it will automatically launch a portable burning software to burn the ISO file by clicking the burn button. Burning an ISO image to a disc can’t get any easier than this.

It is a good idea. Maybe someone will be kind enough to provide such options? We will see . . .
I still remember when I first was burning ISO from Windows.
It was a major technical achievement (for me) just understanding and creating an ISO . . .
I remember writing that CDCrecord (I think it was called) was the last thing I was using in Windows and Barry created the CD/DVD front end ISO burner in Puppy.
I have found it completely reliable and used it ever since.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
We shall see which Puppy or Puplet uses this option .
Seekers Win32 Installer Creator now means that Puppy developers can create packages that non-technical Windows users can download and install on a Windoze computer in a way they already know how..., an .exe .
Some examples of the Puppy install .exes are available on my server. They have had *some* testing.
Standard Puppy 4.2.1

SlaxerPup

A boot CD was (apart from installing puppy on a new computer) only necessary to circumvent the standards violation of the Master Boot Record Micro$oft used to prevent people booting any other OS but their own on a computer (details here). However Puppy now has another way of "intercepting" the Windows boot process and the world is now our oyster...many "Doggie Biccies" to Seeker/Lin4Win
A ISO "self burner" and the installer would both make fine additions to Puppy's tricks...(it is supposed to be "easy to install" right?).
Both of these items are certainly worthy of media attention (hint hint Lobster).
There has been talk of including the Installer on the main download page...
