Well Done!
The help Distrowatch gave to expose TEENpup to more users will surely happen with Macpup. I hope your download link can handle the traffic. If your not already on Softpedia, I'm sure they'd host your iso like they do with TEENpup.
Poor old Caneri's site getting hit today!

No, I am not Kidding, I mean it , Thank you very much !!!! In the last year I have had so many people help me out here i couldn't begin to name them all.I have been using linux for several years but I have learned more in the this year than ever before. And you have hosted all of my pups !
I remember sending Prit an email with a remastering question and a screenshot of the remaster I had done of macpup dingo . He liked it and wanted to play with it. I burned a cd and mailed it to him ( cause it would take me forever to upload it ) And after he ran it we form the macpup team . And I am thankful for the chance to be part of this team . And guys like Ttuuxxx, MU, Whodo, Puppyluvr and many ,many more have helped me all the way. And dude , you have helped all of us hosting so much stuff !!!!!

A MAC-like OS suite for a little over 100MB? Hmm, quite unbelievable until they download and run it. :D

Congratulations!

definition

#15 Post by raffy »

Well, that brings up problems of definition. if you think about it, if the hits for Puppy, TEENpup and MACpup are combined, then the whole project would have been better off.

Its not for me to second-guess Distrowatch's preferences, am just pointing out a problem or need, ie, a clearer way of specifying distributions. It will be good for the Linux landscape. Isn't the "too many to choose from" issue being raised about Linux all the time?

But if they did that, then everything built off of debain including ubuntu would need to be grouped together and the redhat stuff and sabayon with gentoo .... Dont get me wrong I understand your point. And I have lots of puppy stuff bookmarked in opera with this pup so We are promoting puppylinux with each download. Each one of our macpup's know the way back home.

Hey Raffy,

Let's leave the finer points for another day and let the boys enjoy their ranking on Distrowatch.

Distrowatch has it's ways and we have ours and never the 'twain shall meet hopefully.

The "what is a what" is for another day...smiles and winks

All the best,
Eric

Maybe distrowatch should count a +1 to Puppy for every +1 for any of its derivatives. This should resolve the issue and keep building popularity for Puppy.
